A new batch of quality used LPs arrived (10 Sept 07) and is a mixed bag consisting of audiophile titles (New Age, Smooth Jazz) as well as some Hong Kong artists. For those who have purchased from us would know of our high standards in analogue playback. Should you desire to checkout the vinyl quality or content before confirming your purchase, we welcome you to test it in our showroom before you pay. We wouldn’t sell you LP in condition that we wouldn’t play - we are audiophiles too!

Wikipedia says it best about the Windham Hill label “...the label eventually became known in the industry mainly as a New Age music label, with its Billboard charting albums appearing primarily on the New Age genre charts. The label is best known for its high sound quality, groundbreaking music, unique flagship collections and tasteful album art within the form of an identifiable label brand identity.

We played grade these LP after cleaning and most looked unplayed. These good stuff are most suited for relaxation and during year-end listening (when the mood is right). Grab them if these float your boat as they don’t come very often.

In Issue #10 (Mar/Apr 2001) of Hi Fi+ magazine, Roy Gregory poked fun at hi-fi demo discs and labeled some 30 titles “Records To Die From”. He called these albums offensive because it could drive hi-fi retailers nuts when they are repeated too often in their shops and in shows.

Six years on, we (audiophiles) are still crazy over these favourites. We love good music and these over tested records are still music to our ears which way you look at it. From the magazine’s 30 odd titles, we picked a few here and added some commentary. Of course, Modular Audio would be stocking them whenever a good, clean copy is available.
