Clearaudio Innovation Wood Turntable / Universal Tonearm

After unpacking the turntable and putting the basics on our working table. You can’t help but admire the first-rate workmanship, refine finish of German know-how.
33, 45 and 78 RPM all from a touch of a button.
Notice the 3 square holes in the middle of the picture? These are for setting the respective turning speed. Once set, the newly developed optical speed control (OSC), an infrared sensor (hidden under platter) shall monitor and correct the speed on the fly (when needed).
The Universal tonearm is mounted to the supplied arm base via 3 screws on the underside of the arm base. Thoughful Clearaudio also includes a Satisfy arm mount should you want to install it.
Universal tonearm is Clearaudio’s high-end assault to pivot design. Just like the turntable, the Universal tonearm (Carbon-Fibre armtube) is built like a precision instrument in exceptional engineering fashion, build and finish.
To become Universal in its application, different counter weights are provided in the package (see bottom of picture).
All tonearm parameters are adjustable. Detachable headshell, magnetic anti-skate dial, VTA on-the-fly (optional) via a VTA side lever at the bottom
A ultra high bandwidth Clearaudio Da Vinci V2 cartridge was rightly partnered. Clearaudio has long abandoned the old sound - lean, clinical and analytical. The new range of Clearaudio cartridges is high in resolution and yet very musical.
Steady now... easy does it... insurance not included
If you’ve heard or been using Clearaudio Stradivari (4th from top) and Clearaudio Titanium (2nd from top), you should be able to imagine the sound of the 3rd. Da Vinci V2 is exactly a perfect mixture of the former two.
After installing the cartridge and checking every turntable parameters, it is time to test-run in our showroom. Several familiar test discs were used to ensure there is no IGD and tracking is beyond reproach, before delivery.
Accuracy in HD is the name of the game for this Clearaudio turntable. It has a firm grip on music and the realism is brought about by the very quiet background, high resolution, solid and stable delivery. Besides the great sound, it is just so good to look at!
