We all know Whest Audio (UK) specialises in the design and manufacturer of high-end phono amps from the serious entry-level WhestTwo to the mighty mono-block MC Ref V. So why a power cord? You see, James Henriot (Whest owner/designer) has been asked time and again by his customers what power cords to use to best match his phonostages. We too were curious and you bet we bothered him with this mother of all FAQ. His answer - Whest power cord.
Like most quality hi-fi products that still come out of UK, it is usually sanely priced and function must be first before form. Hence, here we have a power cord that carries the UK tradition - its unassuming in looks - it is not heavy and not water-hose thick (note: phonostage by nature is low powered). Whest power cords are flexible, well-made, affordable and most importantly chosen by its designer to best sonically match its high-end phonostages.
Available in either UK or US configurations (using quality Furutech plugs), our first shipment is albeit limited in quantity but the result speaks for itself.

The 3rd installment of LPAD (LP Appreciation Day) is set on 6 August (Saturday). To new comers, LPAD is an FREE event Modular Audio holds annually to bring friends, customers, newbies together to listen to some good and great LPs at our showroom. We’ll also share with you some tips, trivia to keep things interesting. This is our version of wine-tasting but just that you can’t bring the LP home after listening. :-)
Like previous years, we’ll continue to dig our home treasures (strictly Not-For-Sale) and perhaps loan some titles from you to feature in this get-together, information sharing fun event.
Our playlist is almost complete now and to those wanting to listen to the Bergmann Sindre turntable playing some of the better records, this is a very good opportunity.
Like before, our session is repeated 3 times throughout the day (6 August, Saturday) and we would need you to register with us so to reserve your seat due to the limited seating capacity.

The much awaited Bergmann Sindre turntable has just landed and ready for demonstration. For those who has an early preview of its performance, they all arrived at similar conclusions, comments like “its so quiet”, “absolutely effortless”, “open and highly accurate”, “so rhythmic”. Although this model is still one-step below the reference model but to many of us, this is reference enough. No wonder it has won:

We have mounted the Clearaudio Concerto V2 cartridge on the linear tracking airbearing tonearm. No shown in the picture are the separate power supply which allows speed finetuning (33 and 45rpm) and the air supply unit with replaceable filter.

We are excited to tell you that Modular Audio is now the dealer of Bergmann Audio, the Danish makers of the air bearing turntable with air bearing parallel tracking tonearm. Their range of turntables includes Magne (entry-level high-end), Sindre (HiFi+ magazine award of Turntable of the Year 2011) and their flagship Sleipner (Reference model).
