Smooth Operator’s fairly large AV room would resemble some high-end shops at The Adelphi. Cosy furnished, well treated and most of all, full of hi-end equipment, tweaks, LP, CD, DVD etc. Note: Photographs courtesy of the owner himself and we thank him for that!
Smooth Operator picked to play some of the challenging LPs in his collection during audition. But it was well over after just 3 tracks. The sense of space, air, musicality and accuracy is of another league. The absolute absence of inner groove problems is also a definitive advantage over traditional design.
The new turntable is the main source for Smooth Operator. Since getting into analogue, he has picked up some serious heaving hitting, collectible LPs. Direct-cut being his best love. On the left of the picture is Sindre’s motor power supply and control unit.

The shoe-box size air pump that is so quiet that basically disappeared into the backdrop of this hi-end system. You could just place it under your listening chair and yet hear nothing.

OK, we know the priority here seeing the owner’s AV equipment boxes. They are literally stacked up to the bathroom ceiling. We just couldn’t squeeze enough (boxes) into this picture but you get the idea. .
