Here’s my annual highs and lows of new vinyl titles I purchased in 2021. This year has been a bumper year especially for jazz. As I write, Beatles Get Back (50th Anniversary) boxset closes my vinyl book for 2021 but I never know if I may need to record an entry or two into the Suspense account. Registered here are the good sounding titles I would readily recommend to you should the music floats your boat. The low ones are omitted from this list. My share of bum purchases not making this list include Offspring Smash (digital), Black Sabbath deluxe Heaven and Hell (muddy) and George HarrisonAll Things Must Pass (woolly).
I was wondering—you know—if you could keep on, Because the force—it—it’s got a lot of power And it make me feel like—ah—it—it make me feel like “Oh!”
Taylor Swift – Folklore (2021, Republic Records, 00602435034881)
Pink Floyd Animales 2018 Remix is a gem. This version does need some getting used to but once you did, I felt there is no turning back. The vocal, bass, layering, inner details is all a new experience. Even if you prefer the original, the updated cover art and booklet make this a keeper
